My brother, Michael, graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., last week. He earned a Master's degree in Divinity in Education, and will start as a youth minister at First Baptist Church in Andalusia, Alabama, next month. He graduated from Kennett High School in 2001 and went to college at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Music.
He founded a Christian club in junior high, and became the president of that one and the high school's Christian club, the Alpha and Omega Club. He started a project called The Journey, and interned as a youth minister every summer in college. I was proud to see him graduate. The bottom photo is SBTS President R. Albert Mohler, Jr., presenting Michael his degree. His speech was about as long as his very distinguished name and title.
